Power of The Project

We are excited to share with you the Power of Connection capital project. Phase 1 of our master plan, the renovation of the Parish Hall, is complete. Now, we are in Phase 2, construction of the Connector Building, which will improve our campus and facilities even further. The Connector Building will literally “connect” the Historic Sanctuary with Wendler Hall, increasing our connection and improving accessibility for all parishioners and guests.

• ADA compliant restrooms, on the same floor as the Historic Sanctuary, providing direct, easy access from the worship space.
• An enclosed structure with HVAC creates comfortable connectivity.
• A new courtyard elevator provides easier access to Wendler Hall and the Historic Sanctuary.
• Renovation and improved functionality of the Parish Hall kitchen will allow for better service and fellowship for years to come.

Progression of the Project

• GRIT Co., our contractor, mobilized in mid-February. COMPLETE.
• Site demolition and removal activities at the Connector location. COMPLETE.
• Underground utilities installed at the Connector location. COMPLETE.
• Construction transitions into the concrete foundation stage - through late March.
• Drill piers (foundations) installed on March 3-4. COMPLETE.
• Excavation for grade beams and elevator pit began mid March.
• Structural steel and framing (the Connector is going vertical!) should run mid April through mid May.
• Parish Hall kitchen renovations delayed until summer (as to not interfere with school and Easter activities). 
• Current construction schedule shows that we will reach substantial completion (building is occupiable) by mid-August - a total of six months duration.
