Senior Ministry
If you are looking to hang out with a fun group of seniors, join
us! We welcome all who call themselves seniors and their family members
or caregivers. Below is a description of our activities. Pat Krueger is
our coordinator and welcomes you to contact her at seniors@sthelenas.net.
Art Haus Classes:
These
classes are free, and all supplies are provided for beginners, as well
as seasoned artists. We see ourselves as creative makers who love God in
the process. We meet in the Annex at St Helena’s each month on designated Mondays. Join us for
laughter, art and fellowship!
Luncheons on the Town or Field Trips:
Look for fun programs throughout the year in the Senior’s monthly email newsletter. If you are not receiving one, please contact Pat, and she will add you to the email list.
Ladies Ukulele Group (Ukuladies):
The
Boerne Ukuladies meet on Tuesdays. They are intermediate level players.
1:30-3:00 p.m. in the Annex Building at St Helena’s.
Friends with Flowers:
We
meet every Monday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Morningside in the Menger
House Activity Room. We arrange fresh flowers from St. Helena’s and HEB
and deliver them to the residents of Menger House, various care
settings, and assisted living/nursing homes.
Knitting & Crochet Group:
The
Knitting and Crochet group typically meets two times per month, on the second and fourth Thursdays, in the Parish
Hall - Room 1 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Fran Wettingfeld and Gail Powell lead this fun group of
ladies in this caring ministry.
Senior Readers:
Seniors are invited to read to the children at St. Helena's Episcopal School during a designated story time!
