Starting on January 21, this new spiritual formation opportunity for adults, entitled “Reason for Hope,” will be led by Fr. Jay for 12 weeks. A high-commitment, high-intensity formation experience, this class invites participants to learn what it means to be “the sent ones” of God. Designed for disciples with at least some Christian maturity, this offering has several nights of homework each week, and a two-hour weekly gathering. This class will meet on Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Gathering Haus. There are only 12 spots available this semester. Contact Fr. Jay if you are interested: rector@sthelenas.net.

Men's Bible Study - This group meets every Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the Annex West building to study a specific book of the Bible. All men are welcome to join at any time. For more information, please contact the church office. 

One combined worship service will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Great Room on Sunday, January 18 to accommodate for our Annual Parish Meeting to be held at 11:00. If you are part of the St. Helena’s community, we want you at this meeting! Father Jay promises it will be fun. We will hear reports about ministries, finances, and St. Helena’s School. We will elect new Vestry members and Diocesan Council delegates. There will even be breakout sessions, and there is a rumor that prizes will be awarded. So, join us for the Annual Parish Meeting at 11:00 on January 18. And don't miss the chili cook-off following the meeting. The 7:45 a.m. worship service will be held in the Historic Sanctuary.

A service of Holy Eucharist is offered at Morningside Ministries at Menger Springs every third Wednesday of the month, at 2:30 p.m., led by one of St. Helena’s clergy for the residents of Menger Springs in the chapel located on premises.

Are you wondering about the Episcopal Church and why we worship the way we worship? Are you curious about the history of the church or its sacraments? The Inquirers’ Class may be just the place for you. Join us for a four-week class starting on Wednesday, January 21, at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. We will talk more about walking the Christian life through an Episcopal lens. This class will also answer questions about membership in the Episcopal Church. On the first Sunday of each month, a shuttle departs Menger Springs at 10:30 a.m. for St. Helena's Episcopal Church. Confirmation classes for interested youth in grades 6-12 begin on Monday, February 9. We will meet each Monday (2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 3/2, 3/16) from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Youth House. A Confirmation Retreat will be held on Saturday, March 28. This spiritual path through these classes will lead to confirmation when the Bishop visits St. Helena’s on Sunday, April 12. Save the date for our annual Pancake Supper, to be held on Tuesday, February 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. This is our celebration before the penitential Season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18. More information to come. 

Ash Wednesday is February 18, and services at St. Helena's will be held at 7:00 a.m., noon, and 6:00 p.m., all in the Historic Sanctuary. The regular Wednesday morning service of Holy Eucharist at 10:00 a.m. will not be held this day.
