The Seniors Ministry Art Haus group will gather on Monday, October 20, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Annex to paint sunflower fall wreaths. All are welcome, and supplies are provided. Bring a friend!

The Ukuladies will hold a fall concert on Tuesday, October 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Heritage Assisted Living. Everyone is welcome to meet us there for music and to greet the residents. Hope to see you there!

Seniors Ministry Knitting and Crochet group will meet in the Annex on Thursday, October 23, from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. We will be gathering the winter hats, scarves, shawls, flowers and head bands that the seniors have made to send off to our sister church, Messiah, in Wounded Knee.

Kids of all ages are invited to join us at St. Helena’s for Pumpkin Palooza! Saturday, October 25, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the barn yard. Come and enjoy crafts, games, family photo op, prizes, and food. Dress in costume and bring a friend!

High school youth are invited to join us in costume for a movie night from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25. Dress in costume, bring a friend, and have some fun! RSVP to youth@sthelenas.net so we can plan for enough food.

Sunday, October 26, is our congregation’s Pledge Sunday. You are encouraged to attend two important events that day: the Sunday morning worship service of your choice and a Celebration Brunch immediately following each worship service (a catered meal, not a potluck dinner). This spiritual-growth-oriented process is designed to enrich our biblical understanding of Christian stewardship. Rather than focusing on the need of the church to receive, the experience concentrates on the need of the giver to give for his or her own spiritual development. Your commitment to attend and participate on Pledge Sunday will have a direct spiritual impact on your life, as well as on the mission and ministry of our church community.

On the first Sunday of each month, a shuttle departs Menger Springs at 10:30 a.m. for St. Helena's Episcopal Church. The Empty Nesters / Free Birds will gather on Sunday, November 2, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Tusculum Brewing Company located at 236 S. Main Street in Boerne.  We will gather inside the main building. Shareables will be served. Additional food and beverages are available for purchase. St. Helena’s Empty Nesters (aka Free Birds!) is a fellowship group geared towards couples and singles, whose children are out of the house, or almost out of the house, or who never had children in the house.  The Free Birds gather periodically at local venues for relaxation, fellowship and fun! It is open to St. Helena’s Family members and their friends, so bring a friend if you want to!  Reservations are not needed, please come if you can!

St Helena’s is pleased to announce GriefShare, beginning Monday, November 10, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 3 of the Parish Hall.  This is a 13-week, Christ-centered support group ministry for people grieving the death of a loved one (spouse, parent, sibling, family member, or friend.)  Sessions will include a 30-minute video from professionals followed by time to discuss and share.  Attendees may join at any time during the session.  This program is open to all who have experienced a loss both recently and in the past. A service of Holy Eucharist is offered at Morningside Ministries at Menger Springs every third Wednesday of the month, at 2:30 p.m., led by one of St. Helena’s clergy for the residents of Menger Springs in the chapel located on premises.
